READY4SPADES RULES:
LEAGUE RULES
To strengthen OUR LEAGUE,we hereby present our LEAGUE’S
RULES to be abided by all members upon their joining:
MEMBERSHIP. It is mandatory that all
players join the league before participating in any tourney to get rung, rating, and trophies and to be included in leader board. It is not fair to league members rating and win/loss records.
If you come across an opponent that is not a league member please help that person to join the league. email or IM them a
link to the league’s main page or refer them to management in the room/league.
COMMUNICATION. All league members are strongly encouraged to read the information on our main page and on our message board as well
as to visit our websites for the games to check on the information posted in them, since they might contain updated information
regarding league events, games rules, guidelines, etc. compulsory to all league members.
COURTESY. No disruptive behavior, foul
language, sexual remarks, racial or ethnic slurs, harassment, or any type of offense to players and/or another league and/or Ready4Spades
League as a whole are allowed in the rooms. Along those lines, we try to maintain an atmosphere in which all ages are
both welcome and comfortable
Common greetings for games such as gg, gl, gh, and nha are strongly
encouraged, win or lose. Show common respect to other players, as you would expect in return.
All problems and issues to be resolved with management need to be dealt with in private and within the highest confidentiality
to respect the players’ privacy and alien issues to the league are to remain as external problems.
TOURNAMENTS are created within adequate time
slots for your convenience and to allow those losing in the first round of a tournament to quickly join the next one.
At times Yahoo displays unexpected glitches during tournaments, whereof Ready4Spades League has no involvement
or means to fix. In some instances, such as if Yahoo went down in the FINALS of a tournament, we would be willing to
reschedule that game outside of the completed tournament, so that it may at least be finished and ratings
adjusted and if such is the case, special trophies awarded. This is the only circumstance where Ready4Spades League
management would be able to try and help our players out of the many occurrences beyond our control.
TABLES. If after starting a game a player finds out that
for some reason he/she must leave, that player should offer to "QUIT AND FORFEIT" the game. All tables must be left by clicking the OK button to end the game to avoid leaving the opponent
player uselessly sitting awaiting for the Forfeit option or the system to end the game.
All players must close the
tables when done with them.
SUBSTITUTIONS. There will be no substitutions allowed.
No exceptions made
HOPPING persistently in and out the tables is not allowed. It is annoying and distracting to the players.
FORFEIT. There is no need to take this
action under normal circumstances. However, no-shows (not in the lobby) for a tourney they signed up for may expect
to be forfeited 10 min after the window pops up. For already started games, players must wait at least 10 min for the missing
player to return. Player’s best judgment and courtesy are a must when forfeiting; if there are games from the
same round still being played, the player may wait for them to finish, since that player would be waiting to play anyway and
this waiting span may allow the missing player to make it back to the table and resume game.
Any league member
who forfeits another player without proper justification may get a sanction at management’s discretion.
KIBITZING is not allowed unless authorized
by all players at the table (as in training) or whenever the involvement of Management is required for the correct development
of a special tourney. It is a good rule of thumb to make sure players disable the kibitz option at the beginning of
each game, mainly during tournament game play.
RUNGS AND
LADDERS.
Top
10 players must play at least 3 games within 24 hrs to maintain their rung or they will be moved 10 rungs down
Players
among top 20 rungs idle for over 8 days, and not participating in tournaments, will be dropped 20 rungs. Players idle
for 30+ days or with 0-0 records will be removed from the ladder.
League Management reserves the right to rung players based on activity as well.
Players may enter as many un-rated
games as they like but these will not be accounted for rung purposes. . CHEATING is not acceptable. This
includes, but is not limited to, throwing games, using third party programs to enhance a player’s game, or using multiple
accounts to hold his/her rung. Sending IMS to the player’s partner or talking about the hand, how, what to play,
hints, clicking of the cancel button by a team, etc. during a doubles games is also considered cheating. It goes without
saying that it is impossible to cover every aspect of cheating. However, that does not mean just because something is
not listed here that it is acceptable. Use common sense. Cheating will foster that at management discretion cheaters
be placed at the bottom of the ladder and/or stronger measures be applied if deemed appropriate to curb this behavior.
ARGUING and/or FIGHTING in the lobby or at any table
is not allowed. If a player feels the need to assert him/herself, it should be taken outside the league or at least
into a private table and may be willing to invite a member of the league Management to moderate the disagreement.
SPAMMING and/or SCROLLING in the league lobby is not
permitted other than for the league own advertising and or promotion.
RECRUITING of any for any other league is prohibited
here. If a player is found to be recruiting for another league, either by IM or by Email he/she will be subject to a
sanction.
SANCTIONS. Failure to comply with the above rules, at management’s discretion, may result
in the following:
First offense: Warning
Second offense: Instant barred
from room for 24 hours and forfeiture of all current games, if any.
Third offense: Permanent
ban from the league
Depending in the seriousness of the offense it may deem necessary further action with Yahoo management.
MANAGEMENT. Moderators (those with the Gold M-balls next to their id/name) are here to assist league members and answer questions.
Management contribution makes this whole league possible by carrying out many tasks only to provide you with entertainment.
Management are also to enforce league and games rules and policies, and to make sure everything runs smoothly, for
which in some occasions Management may visit and or remain at the tables and even kibitz. Management instructions and/or
directions are to be followed closely. Management has the authority to make decisions regarding tournaments, games and
misconduct or inappropriate behavior, and has been instructed to take necessary action to enforce the leagues rules, including
screen shots to be submitted to Yahoo to take further action.
Players should feel free to approach
them should they need information or assistance. Also comments and/or suggestions regarding Management performance should
be submitted to ready4spades_ru@yahoo.com where they will be handled under the highest confidentiality.
